The Minerva Prize is intended to celebrate excellence and to highlight a laureate who serves as an inspiring role model in the physics community. The prize is annually awarded by the NNV and DPC to an outstanding young female or non-binary physicist in the Netherlands with an overall performance that scientifically excels in any subfield of physics. Candidates can work in academia, TO2 institutes or at universities of applied sciences.
The Ehrenfest-Afanassjewa Thesis Award recognizes an outstanding PhD thesis in the field of physics.
